Roland
Roland is the craftsman of the workshop. He completed his training with the London College of Furniture over 30 years ago and has spent many years building an enviable reputation as a specialist in historical restoration work. His work over the years has included bespoke kitchens, libraries, free-standing furniture, and staircases. His work can be seen both inside and outside of some major London buildings as well as church buildings across the southwest and some beautiful private homes. Recently he has taken his skill set in a new direction and is thoroughly enjoying the design and craftsmanship of campervan conversions. His skill set is obvious when you inspect the finished product within his conversions – his attention to detail is outstanding.
Sandra
Sandra works part-time in the workshop and is the soft furnishings expert within the team. She loves choosing the colour schemes and is very happy with a paintbrush in hand, transforming an otherwise lifeless space. She can also be found behind the sewing machine making bespoke upholstery for your seating area and window coverings to bring softness, colour and privacy to your van. Sandra will be your point of contact initially and organises all our campervan rentals as well. She will ensure all of your requests are met, where possible, and will happily wave you off (whilst slightly envious) on your adventure, knowing the fun you are going to have!
Smudge
Smudge is our resident workshop pooch who loves nothing more than snoozing inside the campervan in the sun, whilst pretending to cast a critical eye over the progressing work. She may come to greet you if you visit the workshop, but only if you give her a biscuit!
